The workshop consists of three parts: coding art creation techniques and methods, innovative practices in coding painting, and the exhibition of new media art works. Under the guidance of Professor Peter Burr, participants will complete coursework related to coding art creation, and subsequently, showcase their new media art based on the results of their coding art projects.
Bio: Professor Peter Beyls is a tenured professor of Digital Media at Ghent University, Belgium. He previously directed the Artificial Intelligence Lab at the Free University of Brussels, where he pioneered the use of computer music systems in cellular automata and developed new methods for human-computer interaction algorithms. He later worked on projects at CITAR Porto, the Interaction Lab, and FormLab at the University of California, focusing on sound visualization and real-time interactive music systems. He has published around 80 papers and several books on digital art, computer music, and human-computer interaction.
